Tell us about you!
My name is Jasmine Griffin. I am the owner of The Heritage House Candle Co. as a creative person, I started this venture in an effort to find a creative outlet. As I learned more about candle making, I realized how toxic and potentially harmful candle are that are sold to the masses. I wanted to start a candle company that champions high quality natural ingredients that are not harmful and actually smell wonderful. I also wanted to incorporate the love have have for my city and state. Therefore I decided to donate a portion of sales to higher education academics.
Also: my personal go to candle is indeed Christmas On The Bayou
Pick one: Woody or Sweet scented candles for the holidays?
A fantastic blend is the best! The most famous fragrances in the world are often complex. Fragrance notes can take your senses on a journey! The best fragrance can start off strong and robust and leave you with a delightful light finish. This is the philosophy of our fragrances at Heritage House.
What’s your go-to scent for the holidays?
Our go-to fragrance for the Holidays is Christmas on the Bayou: a wonderful blend of cypress, pine, and citrus. This is our best seller in the history of the company.
What makes Heritage House candles so special?
We are a grassroots company that started in Baton Rouge with a fold up table and a handmade tabletop black and white striped awning at our local Baton Rouge makers markets. Our attention to detail in producing non-toxic candles is our number one priority. The company also donates a portion of proceeds to academic scholarships and efforts, primarily focusing on historically black colleges and universities.
