Walk the Rowe for Heart
In celebration of our commitment to the community, Perkins Rowe hosted its first Walk the Rowe for Heart event in collaboration with American Heart Association on Saturday, May 20, 2017.
The event served as a formal ribbon cutting ceremony for the mixed-use development’s 1-mile walking path, which encourages both employees and patrons to live a healthier lifestyle.
“We are thrilled to take this step in partnership with the American Heart Association towards improving the health of those within our community,” said General Manager at Perkins Rowe, Branden Barker, CPM, CCIM, CSM. “This initiative is part of our larger vision to utilize the uniqueness of Perkins Rowe as an asset for the entire community.”
The American Heart Association’s Designated Walking Path Program is designed to create safe and accessible walking paths in the community to increase heart health. The American Heart Association recommends walking 10,000 steps a day to work toward a healthy heart, and walking paths are a resource to help complete those steps.
