BATON ROUGE, LA – Perkins Rowe recently collaborated with local artist, Marc Fresh, to debut its first public art piece. The vibrant mural, located on East Market Street, is the latest installment in Perkins Rowe’s multi-million dollar redevelopment initiative.

“For this project, we felt a pattern of bright color would be an ideal fit for the space,” stated Fresh. “It creates an uplifting atmosphere for viewers passing by and even draws people to the center to get a closer look.”

Visitors of Perkins Rowe can expect to see more colors throughout the property as well as within the parking garages in the upcoming months. Additionally, the redevelopment includes an activation of Magnolia Park to embrace local food and beverage concepts and additional wayfinding for tenants.

“We constantly strive to cultivate relationships and opportunities for those in the communities we operate in while supporting local artists and artisans,” said Cassie King, Director of Design and Innovation for Trademark Property Company. “We want to be an active player in fostering growth and innovation.”

In addition to debuting the public art, Perkins Rowe supports local artists and artisans through a collaboration with the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge and its annual Arts Festival. The two-day festival is set to occur at Perkins Rowe on September 15-16, 2018.
